When you call, provide the exact location on the airfield, the material involved, an estimate of the amount, and note any injuries or exposures, plus whether the spill could affect runways or taxiways. Include wind direction if relevant and your contact information. Follow AOCC instructions, secure the area safely (stop work if safe, isolate the spill area, avoid ignition sources), and do not attempt to clean up large spills unless trained and authorized. Other numbers may not reach the spill-response team as quickly and could delay response.
